ASSISTANT COACH
JEN DUGGAN
Coach Jen Duggan is in her sixth season at Blue Valley Southwest (BVSW) High School.  In addition to being the JV girls basketball coach, she is also a 4th grade teacher at Sunrise Point Elementary, in the Blue Valley School District.

Prior to coming to BVSW, Duggan coached freshman and C team basketball at Blue Valley High School (2002-2017).  She took a couple years off to spend time with her family and finish her National Board Certification.  

Duggan attended the University of Kansas and graduated with her degree in Elementary/Middle Education in 2001.  She completed her Master’s Degree in Special Education in 2006.  She also completed her National Board Certification in Literacy in 2018.  Duggan taught 5th grade for 17 years (4 of those years at Prairie Star Elementary) before transitioning to 4th grade at Sunrise Point Elementary -- all in the Blue Valley School District.

Duggan was born and raised in Stilwell, Kansas.  She attended Blue Valley schools throughout her K-12 years and loves being back to serve the community.  Duggan married her husband, Jim, in 2002 and they have one son, Michael, whom they adopted in 2013.  Michael is a 6th grader and loves school, football and basketball.  In addition, the Duggan family also have a very active 4-legged family member, Trooper.  You can typically find the Duggan family on a sports field somewhere or out camping.
